I went on a solo Singapore Tour for the first time in my life. Whether in the country or abroad, it is my nature to travel with large groups. When I went to my so called Honeymoon then 5 pairs of couples also went with us.
I came alone to travel outside the country.
Due to various reasons, it was not possible to take anyone else on this trip. May be this can be written some other day.
However, if I wanted, I could have joined any other group through the packages offered by various travel agencies of our country.
But after talking to a few agencies, I didn’t get anything to my liking.
With a lot of insistence, I started to move forward with all the information by myself.
That’s why I boarded the plane on October 16, 2024, at 10:30 pm.
Destination Singapore, two nights there and next destination Malaysia.

Traveling alone is really boring. Having a companion at least makes the time pass better by talking.
In the beginning, Allah made one match. Someone called my name while getting the boarding pass. I looked and saw an older brother I knew, Suman Bhai.
I spent an hour with him in the sky lounge. He will go to China.

Anyway, the plane left at the appointed time.
4 hours flight. Need some sleep. The problem is I can’t sleep in the journey. What else to do, I put headphones on my ears and started listening to music.
Arrived at Singapore Changi Airport on time.
My biggest fear at the airport is losing my luggage.
When I went to Italy on an official tour, I saw someone’s luggage missing from that flight. However, the luggage arrived on the next flight. But the middle half hour is a strange time.
As the saying goes, ‘Where there is fear, troubles seem closer’. After arriving I found my luggage missing. I feel like I’m loosing my mind.
Many other accessories including clothes are in that bag.
I started running around like crazy. I suddenly regained consciousness with someone’s shock.
I looked up and I’m sitting on the plane. I was dreaming for so long. The plane has reached the airport. The passenger next to me called to wake me up.
I Landed at Singapore airport, Changi Airport.

Starting Singapore Tour
If you search the world’s most beautiful airport on the internet, this airport will be the first to come up.
After landing at the airport, you have to clear immigration first.
That’s where my first trouble started.
After arriving at immigration, you first have to scan your passport and give your fingerprints. My passport scan was fine, but for some unknown reason, my fingerprints couldn’t be taken.
Like the police in Hollywood movies, the police there took me to a separate place and made me sit for about half an hour. There, I saw that they had brought a few more people.
But that’s the joy, After questioning me about various things, they let me go.
It’s only 5:30 in the morning. My hotel check-in is at 2.
At this time, I will wander around the airport a bit.
I stretched out my head in a corner of the airport and took a short nap.
I woke up exactly an hour later.
4
Since I had some idea beforehand, I started wandering around accordingly.
A very clean and simple airport. Everything is indicated on the billboard.
I think there is no famous brand in the world that does not have a store at this airport. Everything you want is here.
But to get complete happiness you need to own huge amount of money. There are many activities here that require money to consume.
I only used the free activities.
The most attractive place at Singapore Airport is ‘Jewel’.

This is an artificial fountain. It is the largest among all the artificial fountains in the world.
If you want to go from one terminal to another, you can use the Sky Train which is Free of cost.
The journey is over as of now.
Now I will go to the hotel. After checking in there, I will go to another destination in the afternoon, Insha Allah.

There are mainly 4 options to get to the hotel from Singapore airport – Metro Rail, Bus, Grab (like Uber in our country) and Taxi.
My target was Metro. The cost of metro is comparatively less. Wherever I go, it costs $1 to take the metro and $15 to take a taxi. So Metro is the signature.
There is only one problem. Since I was the first to arrive, I had to search for the hotel after getting off from the station.
A bit of discomfort in a new place comes with work.
Maybe Allah sent Javed to me to remove my discomfort.
Let’s listen to Javed’s words.
When I used to go to the village as a child, I used to mix with very few village boys. 30 years ago the village boys were very much backdated. Not that the city boys were too advanced, but the difference between the two was huge. Nowadays, in the age of internet and mobile, the disparity has reduced a lot.
During that period, I went to my maternal grandfather’s house and suddenly found two friendly people. People who liked to talk or spend time with. One of those two is Javed. Another is Masud.
There was a lot of intimacy with Javed at that time. I knew Singapore had this. He has not been in touch for a long time. There is an ad on Facebook, but it was not talked about that way.

After so long he hesitated to knock on his own needs.
However, at one stage I hesitated and knocked.
Javed said that he has holidays on Saturday and Sunday. If I go at that time, he can give me time. The rest of the days he has work.
Being an employee myself, I know how difficult it is to get time off from work.
Still I got courage because someone I knew was there. If necessary, at least help will be available over the phone.
I messaged him when I got down to the station. After some time, Javed called and said that I don’t need to buy the metro ticket. He will send someone to the airport to pick me up.
In due course a young boy came to pick me up in his car. The boy is Javed’s manager.
Very friendly. Dropped me to the hotel very carefully. I booked a hotel using AirBnB.
On landing in Singapore, everyone first buys a SIM card and buys a card to ride the metro.
Javed sent both items to me through his manager.
I don’t have to buy new ones.

Javed said that he will come to me after work in the evening. During this time I should spend time alone.
After entering the hotel and getting fresh, I left for Marilyn Park at around 3 o’clock.
6
Merlion Park is a tourist spot in Singapore. It is a crime not to take pictures here.
So I took a few pictures in front of the ship building and the lion statue, the symbol of Singapore.

Merlion is the official mascot of Singapore. Its face is like a lion and its lower part is like a fish.
Singapore’s origin is a fishing village. The body of the fish has been kept from there. The lion’s face has been kept in line with the name of Singapore.

There are many food stalls here. However, I bought an ice cream, made in the shape of their mascot. Although I was suffering from the cold, it felt wrong not to eat this ice cream in this country.
The price of the ice cream is only 1000 taka.

I spent the whole afternoon around the lake. A very beautiful place.
Javed arrived just after dusk.
7
After evening I went with Javed to ‘Bay of Garden’. Here is a strange light show. Thousands of tourists are watching.
Then I went to a shopping mall. Fair of all the expensive and luxury items of the state.
Just seeing people like us brings peace.
Then I went to Apple’s store.
From there to the shore of the lake.
Many people sing while standing in the cafes here. felt good.
After that I saw another light show by the lake.
Then we both went to McDonald’s for dinner.
Javed brought the car when he arrived. After dinner, I explored the whole city of Singapore by car. Little India, China Town – many more.
I also got an idea about what to see at Universal.
After wandering around, I returned home at 1 am.
I was refreshed and fell asleep at half past one. I have to go to Universal Studios in the morning.
8
On the second day, I got on the metro at 8 am and left for Santosa Island.
I arrived between 9 o’clock. The main attraction of Santosa is Universal Studios. Lots of people come to Universal Studios Free Zone and take pictures.

It takes about 8 thousand taka as a Bangladeshi to enter the main place inside. I thought about it for a moment and went inside.
I don’t know how anyone else will feel, but I think it’s amazing. It is difficult to cover the whole in one day if you do not enter early in the morning.
Today’s timing was from 10 am to 5 pm. I got all the rides and shows for free as I entered early.
After 2:00 p.m., the traffic of people increased in every event. There are several divisions within the Universal World. Lost World, Far Far Away, Sci-Fi City, a place like Hollywood, a city like New York – all are arranged in sections.

A 4D show of Transformers was amazing. I saw it 3 times.
Shrek had a 4D movie. There was a show on how to make an English movie in a place in New York. The city of Hollywood is modeled after that city. Every show is amazing to me.
The rides are also great. All in all it was a great day.
But the moon also has defects. Even in my likes there were flaws. It felt bad not to bring the two children.
I will bring them soon inshallah. The Singapore tour is over now.
The next day I left Singapore But took a lots of love for this country.
